- Maintaining
Ethical standards in tourism industry for customers.
- It aims at improving
the standard of service and professionalism in the industry so as to cater
to the needs of the tourists from within India and overseas.

understanding and cooperation amongst different segment of the tourism
industry.

educates and equips the members to meet the challenges of tomorrow through

and informs various problems and challenges with the controlling and
regularity authority in the country on the behalf of its members.

maintains close contact with world bodies and represents matters affecting
the travel and tourism industry of the country.
- TAAI
gathers and disseminates useful information on travel and tourism to its
members for their guidance.

aims to develop better understanding among the different segments of the
travel industry and brings them into its fold by offering membership under
different categories.

fosters fraternity among its members.
- TAAI organises TAAI Annual Conventions named Indian Travel Congress, across the

- TAAI is also recognized by the Government of India to
support in the activity of “Hotel Classification” in the country.

TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP OF TAAI
a.
Active Membership:
Eligibility and fees:
ü Company having an established
place of business in India
ü Travel
Agent should be approved by the International Air Transport Association, (IATA)
ü All fees i.e. Rs.
7080/- as Entrance and Rs. 7080/- as Annual Fees
b. Allied Membership: it further has two categories
1.
Allied Associate:
Eligibility:
ü Company
that is regularly engaged with the Travel and Tourism Industry and having their
place of business in India such as carrier companies, Hoteliers, Caterers,
Excursion Agents, Forwarding and Clearing agents, Tour Operators, Guide
organisations, CRS companies, Press & Media, GSAs and Travel Related
Services, other than Airline
Ticket Services, shall be eligible to be an Allied Associate.
ü Also
the company must have recognition from Department of Tourism, Government of
India for those Tour Operators applying
for Allied Membership.

Allied Branch Associate: An Allied
Associate company having a branch in India shall be eligible to be an Allied
Branch Associate.

Fees for both of the above is Rs. 3540/- as Entrance
and Rs. 3540/- as Membership Fee
c. Associate Member:

Active Member having a branch in India
ü That
Branch has been approved by IATA as Accredited Agent, shall be eligible to be a
Branch Associate
ü All fees i.e. Rs.
3540/- as Entrance and Rs. 3540/- as Annual Fees
d. Overseas Associate Member:
Eligibility and Fees:
ü Any
Company having an established place of business not in India, and is a Travel
Agent approved by its country’s National Travel Agents
Association shall be eligible for membership as Overseas Associate of this
Association.
ü The applicant must be an IATA agent and a
member of the respective National Travel Agents Association.

ü Any
Overseas Associate having a branch office in the same country or another
country, that branch or another office shall be eligible to be an Overseas
Branch Associate.
ü Fees Equivalent to
INR 9500/- for a year + INR 6900/- as Entrance Fees (which includes service tax
& bank charges) or
ü Fees Equivalent to
INR 35000/- for 5 Years + INR 6900/- as Entrance Fees (which includes service
tax & bank charges)

Government Associate: Any Tourist Department of any Central Government or State
Government or Foreign Government, shall be eligible for membership as government
Associate.

closely with Government of India Tourism Offices and State Tourism Boards
and is active in events/meetings organised to further the promotion of
Indian tourism globally. TAAI is invited for 'Hotel Classification' and
'Airport Advisory'. TAAI also endeavours to closely work with Ministry of
Civil Aviation, on aviation matters.
